Thrive LA Featured in Los Angeles Times 2026 Election Preview

The Los Angeles Times just published a major piece on the shifting political landscape in Los Angeles—and we were proud to see Thrive LA quoted as a leading voice for those eager to see real change in 2026.

“Many of us are looking for someone with an alternative vision and the necessary courage to move our city in a different direction,” said Sam Yebri, board president of Thrive LA.

The centrist civic organization and political action committee spent more than $600,000 in the last election cycle, with a focus on safety and quality of life issues, Yebri said.

Thrive LA expects to endorse in the 2026 mayoral race and “spend significantly” to support a candidate “who’s going to move L.A. in a different direction,” though the group has yet to choose a candidate.

As the 2026 mayoral and City Council races take shape, Thrive LA will be leading the charge on behalf of everyday Angelenos who want City Hall to get back to the basics: public safety, quality of life, affordability, housing, and good governance.
